This week’s DGS will be the seitansai (birthday) episode, so it’s sure to be filled with chaos! How many weeks will this “hell” for HiroC last? One? Two? THREE? We’ll just have to find out!!
Dear Girl Sandā update

DGS #145 revealed some new information about Dear Girl Sandā, the collaboration between DGS and Yuraku’s Black Thunder snack line.
The flavor will be “Hatsukoi no Aji – Shio Choco” (First-love Flavor – Chocolate Salt). You can start buying them March 8th at convenience stores in the Kantou and Kansai regions, certain Animate stores, Chou! A&G Shop, and through mail order online (box purchases only). They will retail for 30 yen each, the same price as normal Black Thunder. The main catchphrase for the product is “Dear na girl ni dai hit chuu! Oishisa handsome kyuu” (Currently popular with dear girls! Handsome-grade deliciousness). There will be 35 (!) different package designs so some of the catchphrases on the other packages will be different.

SYLPH Vol.11, Netsuai S-O-S! delay

SYLPH Vol.11, to be released January 22, will come with a bonus DGS Hibiki clear substitute cover for use with DGS Hibiki Vol.2 which will be released the same day. It makes your comic look like Black Thunder! Photos can be seen at the SYLPH editors’ blog. The cover of SYLPH Vol.11 will be Hakuouki and the issue will not include a chapter of DGS Hibiki.
In other news, the release of the single for the NDS Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki – Hibiki Tokkun Daisakusen!, Netsuai S-O-S!, has been delayed until February 24. It was supposed to be released January 27.
Netsuai S-O-S! single, FamitsuTV

The single for the NDS Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki – Hibiki Tokkun Daisakusen opening song, Netsuai S-O-S!, will be released January 27, 2010. It will retail for 1260 yen tax included. The coupling song is Neko Masshigura and aside from the karaoke tracks, there will be one other track, possibly a mini drama or something. There is a bonus for the first press but it’s not known what that bonus is yet. The single is currently available for preorder at CD Japan and YesAsia.
The DGS game was introduced on the latest FamitsuTV, hosted by Kamiya and Kaneda Tomoko, with guest game director Iwasaki Daisuke. The digest video can be viewed above. To view the full episode, you must purchase it at the FamitsuTV website.
There will be a FamitsuTV public recording on January 28, 2010 at WinPa. Participation will be by lottery. To enter, you must be a FamitsuTV+ premium member. 200 people will be chosen. Submissions are open until 2010/1/12 at 17:59.

DGS News
- Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki vol.2 will be released January 22, 2010, the same day as SYLPH vol. 11. SYLPHvol. 11 will have Hakuouki on the cover and the furoku will be a substitute dust jacket for DGS Hibiki vol.2.
- CCP goods sold at Dengeki Character Festival 2009 will be sold at certain Animate stores starting December 10. Goods include Kamiya’s Now Peak tshirt and Nyaa san shippo strap, Ono’s wkas tshirt, Limelight keyholder charm, wkas phone strap, and Do S Suwa Sakka’s DG5 tshirt and Do S nabeshiki (pot stand). They will be sold at the following Animate stores: Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Akihabara, Tachikawa, Kichijouji, Yokohama, Oomiya, Sapporo, Niigata, Senda, Machida, Tsudanuma, Chiba, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Tennouji, Sannomiya, Kyoto, Kyoubashi, Nihonbashi, and Kokura.
- Dengekiya also started selling DGS Hibiki goods from December 1 over here.
- It has been decided that Dear Girl Sandā will be released in salt (wkas) flavor. They are now accepting suggestions for catch phrases and package designs for this flavor. A few examples are on the blog.
- New wallpapers and photos of the special bonuses for the DGS Hibiki game have been added to the website.
- DGS Hibiki game director IwaD (Iwasaki Daisuke) will be guest on the 12/12 airing of DGS.
- Kamiya and Ono will be guests on the radio show Recomen! again on December 16.

- Kiramune Music Festival 2009 will be released on DVD on February 24, 2010. It will include a CD with the full version of the event theme song, EVER DREAM. I will write a report when I have time.
SYLPH vol.10, Girl’s Style, Durarara!, KiraFes

SYLPH vol.10
The cover for SYLPH vol.10 has been publicized! This cover is “Sa-ya ga Kaku Arienai Series Dai 2 Dan (Impossible Series #2 Drawn By Saya).” Looking at it um… Yeah… It’s pretty impossible. Even more so than #1 (the cover with HiroC and OnoD making the heart mark together), in my opinion. There’s no way Kamiya would touch OnoD’s face or let OnoD touch his, LoL. Where does Iwasaki sensei get these ideas from anyway? Haha.
Black Thunder will be making an appearance throughout this new chapter. Try to find them all!
Again, SYLPH vol.10 will be released November 24. Furoku is a Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki drama CD which will include a drama track and voices from the game. Purchase the magazine at Animate or any of the participating SYLPHmate stores and you’ll receive a DGS Hibiki postcard of the cover illustration.
The 2010/1/21 issue of Dengeki Girl’s Style will include a Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki Christmas pin-up poster. It will be an original illustration by Iwasaki sensei. The magazine will be released December 10.
On the Theater page of the Durarara!! website, you can watch the Perfect Guide which includes interviews with the cast. Both Kamiya and OnoD make an appearance. OnoD’s comment at the end is funny. He’s so M…
A couple photos of Uta Hiroshi during KiraFes rehearsals can be found at the Kiramune staff blog. It was announced a couple days ago that the event’s theme song will be “EVER DREAM.” The song will be available for early streaming via mobile phone starting November 25.
